POSITION
Corporate Strategy Manager – Region Africa

LOCATION
Johannesburg, North, South Africa

SALARY
R850 000 – R1 400 000 per annum

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead Strategic Development

Provide thought leadership in shaping the corporate strategy, vision, and mission for the Africa region.

Stakeholder Engagement

Collaborate with Group, Regional, Local, and external stakeholders to formulate, implement, and monitor strategy.

Project Management Leadership

Establish and implement a local project management methodology, including structures, standards, and decision-making processes.

Strategic Project Oversight

Structure and manage strategic projects, define content and team structure, lead cross-functional teams, and ensure timely delivery.

Board-Level Support

Prepare decision templates and reports for the Group Executive Board and participate in strategic summits and forums.

Policy Implementation

Drive policy development to support new business ventures across the continent.

Communication & Rollout

Ensure effective communication and rollout of the regional strategy across all divisions and subsidiaries.

Internal Consulting

Act as an internal consultant on new and prioritized projects, identifying internal and external factors affecting long-term needs

Strategic Alignment

Ensure alignment between corporate strategy and operational execution across the organization.

Representation & Influence

Represent the organisation in strategic discussions locally and internationally, including with high-level stakeholders.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Strategically Experienced

  • Has 7–10 years in a significant strategic role.
  • At least 5 years in a leadership position.
  • Proven ability to develop, implement, and monitor corporate strategy

Strong in financial analysis, scenario planning, and business consulting.

Able to operate across complex business segments and make data-driven decision.

  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Finance, Economics, or Business.
  • A postgraduate degree (e.g., MBA) is a strong advantage.
