Process Engineer (Rotaries)

SUMMARY

Our client, a global leader in molten metal flow engineering and technology, requires a Process Engineer (Rotaries) to oversee the design and implementation of the rotary kiln processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for developing and implementing process strategies, managing process resources, optimising current processes and maintaining process documents
  • Ensures that he maintains the efficiency of production to reduce costs
  • Provide daily support to the production team to improve throughput, quality, safety, cost and delivery.
  • Provides support to Production Management (Monitoring bagging plant, waste/slurry and dolomite fines etc.)
  • Develop standardised operating work instructions for the upgrade process
  • Performs risk assessments
  • Develops routines and best practices to ensure product quality.
  • Monitors rotaries’ performance with respect to speed, cost, quality and delivery.
  • Leads problem-solving activities
  • Supports trials on new rotary products
  • Drives continuous improvement, using ”Lean Manufacturing and best practice methodology
  • Process upgrading projects and implementation thereof

  • Rotary Kiln operations and production

  • Ability to analyse the process system and implement effective changes to boost production

  • Plan Manpower requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in Chemical or Metallurgical Engineering.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience as a Process Engineer in a manufacturing environment
  • Extensive experience in process design and excellent technical skills
