RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Accounting and Reporting: Ensure compliance with the organisation’s standards and timely group reporting and accounting (IFRS & SYSCOHADA).
- Supervision: Oversee local accounting functions and support statutory, tax reporting, and compliance.
- Audits and Projects: Participate in internal, external, and tax audits, as well as various projects.
- Collaboration: Work with the regional finance team and the Regional COE.
- Advisory: Provide guidance on taxes, compliance, and regulations.
- Issue Detection: Proactively identify and address compliance and internal control issues.
- Support: Respond to accounting and reporting inquiries from operations.
- Ensure successful operations of regional companies, focusing on accounting and financial accuracy.
- Asset Safeguarding: Contribute to safeguarding company assets through regular control and necessary insurance coverage.

- What to achieve in the role:
- To set accurate accounting, mitigation of taxation risk, internal controls (audit, BS review, risk assessment), planning/budgeting, support to business.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
- Chartered Accountant, ACMA, BCom Accounting Honors or MBA.
- Minimum of 6 years in accounting and finance within multinational companies, with previous experience in a similar position.
- Proficiency in French and knowledge of English.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, experience with BPCS/AS400, SAP BW, ECS, SharePoint, Teams, and advanced Excel.
- Training and experience in project/change management.
- Good problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to improvements.
