Explaining what you can do for the company is important during your intervew but so is building rapport with your interviewer. Here are 3 ways to achieve this:

- Mirror their body language – Even if you feel nervous, be poised and friendly. If the interviewer uses open body language – leaning towards you or keeping their arns open – do the same.
- Find common interests – Look for ways you are alike. Perhaps shared interests or experiences. Ideally they will be work-related.
- Tell stories with a moral – Every story you tell should have a purpose. This will convey your most desirable qualities – loyalty, work ethic or trustworthiness.
